nine moons

Nine Moons

o: 0.5+ (: 30'

Nine moons or nine months is the time when a new being grows in a woman’s body. During this time, many changes take place in the body that help the unborn being to develop and grow. Hormone ramping, combining genetic material, cell division and other complex bodily events are great stuff for theatre staging.

The famous story from conception to birth is staged without words, in a simple, humorous and fantasy way. Through a musical theatre picturebook, young viewers enter the world of physical events during pregnancy. The show is aimed at toddlers, takes into account their developmental stage and is presented in an understandable and attractive way.

Nine Moons concludes the trilogy of AEIOU theater performances on the subject of body and body perception. The other two shows from the trilogy are Heart and Belly Button (co-produced by House of Children and the Arts, 2015) and Krickrac, that’s me! (co-production of Dance Theater Ljubljana, 2016).
